Yoga Immersion
with Todd
M/T/W/Th/F  6/7-6/25

Cost: $150-$225 sliding scale  pre-registration required

Todd Williamson

This is the year for change.

The change is happening, and we’re all immersed in it – you’re immersed in it –  Spending just a bit of time with others who, like you,  are curious about, and more consciously choosing for – uncovering and discovering – something new – a new way of being –  will afford you an ease now, during these times which otherwise may seem daunting and fraught with overwhelming challenges. In allowing yourself to be supported, you invariably align with, and tune into your Self, and so find yourself supported by the very change you felt at odds with… Open to the magic…

Read this excerpt from what current immersion students received prior to the first class:

“If you were to go to a new town, and have someone drive you around from place to place for a few weeks or months.. or even years… then suddenly one day they were not (t)here to drive you… would you know how to get where you are going? And the salient thing that is important here, with respect to this practice, is not to memorize a particular route… but rather to learn to feel how you navigate… and then start to practice those skills – this new found awareness- more and more of the time…. it simply entails a willingness, a gentle persistence, some measure of curiosity, and some courage…. these things you have now, and we’ll be practicing using these over the course of the next three weeks…. in order to re-awaken them, stretch them, lean into them bit by bit, until they feel ready to be used ‘out there’ in life”.

Some of the last immersion’s participants kindly allowed us to post their blogs here. The Yoga of Getting Unstuck.
And here Yoga Immersion, A Journey to Myself.

Please note: no drop ins during this immersion – participants must register for the whole immersion, though your schedule may not allow you to attend each and every session. Space limited to 14 immersers (not including your guides…who take up no space)

JRo is coming back!
June 2-9

JRo

JRo

Good News!
JRo has extended his stay till June 9th…there are some spots left still after June 5th.

JRo will be here in June, and he’ll have Clairvoyant reading and healing sessions available.

Ro came last year for a visit and before you know it he was all booked up. He’s getting booked this time too, so hurry up and call if you want a session w/him. He will be seeing clients at the studio (with the exception of one day possibly at our home).

From JRo:” Your body is energy and our lives reality based events. Learn how you occur right here right now as life. And learn how to change it, guide it and ultimately let go”.

Readings are $100 for at about 1.5-2 hrs (please bring cash)

Yin Yoga
with Todd
Wed 7:15-8:45 pm

Cost: by donation

Yin Yoga

Todd will be teaching this drop in class permanently.

You can arrive like to any other classes, and either use your class card or pay a donation.

Come explore what Yin Yoga is all about. Whether you are new to yoga in general, or a seasoned yogi, this is a class you’ll get a lot from.

One of the interesting things about the yin approach is that it benefits the more active person (runner, biker, etc) as well as the less active person (couch potato).

Satsang Sarong…..
come and be embraced
with Todd
SAT 6/19 – 6-8 pm

Cost: FREE

Satsang Sarong

Satsang sarong is simply a time to come together. This evening includes a meditation, talk, sharing, questions. We’ll spend some time sitting together, perhaps in a guided meditation, perhaps in silence.

Once we’ve sufficiently woven the fabric of connection together to feel it (tuning in), we’ll spend some time being immersed in that energetic field, and share. There may be discussion, perhaps some sharing, and there’s time for questions and answers… it’s a time for us to explore a bit more this thing we do when we come together for class, and not be so busy with the poses.

Come just before 6, as we’ll do a meditation and would prefer no late comers. Namasté

A gift taken and shared:
four weeks, four classes for change

gift of yoga

gift of yoga

Please give yourself this gift and by so doing give the gift of continued sustainability to OmBase.

Share the gift by helping to provide for the need.  Read the blog post.

There will be a sign up sheet at the front desk, where you can put your name down each week and receive a free gift at the end of the 4 weeks!

Just a little incentive for you to come and participate!

Coming in JULY . . .

Intro to Yoga

7/6-7/27 every TUE 7:30-8:45 pm

Cost: $48/ Pre-registration required

Alana - Upward Facing Dog

This class series is an introduction to Yoga for all beginners out there!

Basics of yoga, breathing, introduction to props, as well as individualized attention to what each student needs.

Lunar Yin series
with Emily

M/W/F 7-8:15 am

Cost: 90-$108 sliding scale. Pre-registration required. Sorry, no drop-ins.

Lunar Yin

Lunar Yin

This is a 3-week series offered the first 3 weeks of the month and meets M-W-F from 7:00-8:15am.

We typically spend 3-5 minutes in each supported pose, gently melting into the tight places and inviting them to unwind.

The benefits of this practice include increasing the range of motion in the joints, and improving the flow of energy through the meridians, resulting in a feeling of more “space” in the body and more overall vitality.

While we hang out in the poses, Emily will share her astrological insights about the current phase and sign of the Moon. Knowing where the Moon is helps us “go with the flow” instead of “pushing the river,” which is what this practice is all about!

Please email/call OmBase if you want to sign up for either of these events, or others. |

You can mail a check, sign up at the studio or sign up online.

For a PDF flyer on this series, go here.

Our lending library is online!

Lending Library

Lending Library

Thanks to Emily, Virgo organizer extraordinaire, she posted every book we have online, here.

You can check out books and videos the same way, by writing your name in the check-out binder at the studio, but now you also have the option of browsing our library online, read an excerpt of the book (via an Amazon link), post a comment, and more.

We’ll be adding reviews of the books in the next few weeks.

The other change is that we’ll be charging $1 x week for DVDs, as we need to replace them occasionally, and that will help.

Books will be due 3 weeks from check out date, DVDs only one week at a time.

You will get email reminders when your item is due.

Virtual shots of Om Base

We’ve posted some fabulous 360º shots of the studio on our website. You can scroll (slowly!) to see in every direction!

Thanks to Jeff Freeman for the photography!

Reviews needed!

Review Us!

We’d like to ask you to post a review as reviews really help other students decide whether or not come to visit us!

You can go to our contact us page, and click on the pop-up window that comes up over the map (click OmBase or Reviews). It’ll take you to a Google page link where you can post a review!

You can also go to Insider Pages here to post a review.

There are a lot of changes in the air
at OmBase scheduled for April!

Some teachers change days/times,
and we say goodbye to one of our long-standing teachers…..
Plus Todd has his first Yoga Immersion in months,
as well as a new class on Tuesday night.

This is a chance to gather and practice three-five sessions a week. These healing immersions focus on healing and balance through visualization, meditation and yoga asanas. It’s easier to do this “work” around others who are making the same choices… so take advantage of the others’ presence (presents) and join in.

This is the year for change. (the year of the Tiger).

You can find out more about Immersion here.

Please call OmBase, or email Todd/OmBase if you want to sign up.

Decision to hold immersion will be made several days prior to start date, so don’t wait till last moment to let us know!

Saying goodbye to Jay….

Jay Fields

Most of you know Jay. She’s been with us from the very beginning of the start of OmBase, and we have known her long before that. She has always been committed to being a part of our family.

Jay is moving on, and she will not be teaching classes at OmBase, but we know we will see her again…

Please join us in wishing Jay the very best in her new endeavors!

Jay has a beautiful new website, and a blog, always worth reading!

www.revelationaryliving.com

Dear friends,

Thank you so very much for being a part of my journey of learning and teaching at OmBase. It’s hard to leave because I will miss the family I have at OmBase, but the “nest,” as it were, has served its purpose–I’m now ready to fly in to new ways of being that are most in alignment with who I am in my work and life now. I feel quite joyful to let go and let myself be taken by the flow of things, which right now means having more time for my private spiritual counseling practice, for workshops, and for writing. Feel free to visit my new website to see what I’m up to…

And I trust that part of the journey is to stay connected to Om as a student, friend, and collaborator.  Until that mystery unveils itself…

Much love,
Jay

Writing – Riding The Eclipse Wave

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

OmBase‘s own in-house Astrologer, Emily Trinkaus shares some writing from participants of the recent Riding the Eclipse Wave event . . .

sep

Emily Trinkaus

Emily Trinkaus

For five Wednesday evenings, Todd and I gathered with a group of adventurous participants to explore the meaning of this summer’s three Eclipses — and to offer support for navigating the intense and transformational energies.

Todd led us through blissful meditation and yoga practices, and I talked about the astrological influences and offered related writing exercises. We all wrote and shared our writing out loud, and also did some rituals to release the old and call in our intentions for the future.

Every week – no matter how cranky I was feeling when I came in– I left class feeling inspired, relaxed and deeply grateful for our OmBase community. I was moved by everyone’s willingness to write from their hearts, and to share their words with the group. Together we created a web of support that held and sustained me through some challenging times.

Below are some of the pieces that were written in the group.

Enjoy!

Riding the Eclipse Wave

Riding The Eclipse Wave

Riding The Eclipse Wave

Mazel Tov

Funny that I should remember in practice, seemingly out of the blue, my little pirate spirit.  He was the ghost who would visit me in the night during my desperate teen years, sleep-walking through the house with me, making jokes while I wept my profound sadness.   He was a tiny spirit with a big personality, squat and opaque-white, with an eye patch on one eye and a twinkle in the other.  He would tease and bully me until I’d agree to climb onto that little Frisbee saucer of his, and we’d fly through the dark house in a crazy pattern singing “Mazel Tov” while everyone slept.

Why would this odd memory come up in practice?  Maybe because “Mazel Tov” is a celebration of life, sung in the face of hardship.  It’s a challenge to find the light when scary things are all around.  This pirate scared me as a child; he was loud, he was unruly, uncouth and not well-mannered.  Finally one night, I climbed out of his silly Frisbee saucer and in a stern voice was to stay with me for years, I banned him from those night-time visits.

Now, here it is decades later, and I’d like to welcome back that little outlaw.  I’d like to welcome back the celebration and song sung in the face of chaos and pain.  But this time, not fear it so much.  This time I challenge myself not to banish what seems imaginary, untamed and unknown.  This time I want to fly in the crazy little saucer in the dead of night and sing at the top of my lungs.  No matter that it’s all off key; it’s done in joy.

Freedom Feels Like…

Freedom feels like:
a smile from a child.
an open window.
the light from within.
a smile.
a new car.
coffee with my best friend.
new clothes.
angels on my shoulder.
money in the bank.
a green light.
tears.

I have resolved to make my children my meditation.  Since I have no or little time for other forms, and they are ALWAYS there, my heart has said they are my meditation – my angels, my guiding lights.

My eldest son (age 7) can quote to me from movies and TV shows, a fact that I often let pain me as I worry about the influence of mass media on him.  But last night, his wisdom to me was to quote from a Yu-Gi-Oh episode (a show that I have particularly banned him from watching, by the way), in which someone said, “Sometimes you have to sacrifice a little to gain a lot.”

My husband and I have started a food business and it’s pretty scary.  Sometimes I feel like we must be crazy, and this week in particular, I was crazy with it: “What am I doing?  How is this going to work? I have no time for my children…” and so on.  But then my son comes up with this.

And then, this morning, as we were walking to the car, he corrected a mis-quote on a video game that came from the movie, Ratatouille:  “The video game just says ‘Anyone can cook,’ Mama.  But in the movie they say, ‘Anyone can cook, but only the fearless can be great.’ ”

Thank you, Son, for reminding me.

Focus

You are still in shallow water. You need to go deeper, deeper, and listen.
In order to reach the sacred mountains, you need to cross the deep waters and listen.

Go within more.
Go within more.

Don’t be distracted by daily routines, unusual weather patterns, by the dramas and tragedies of life.
Stay focused and don’t lose sight of your goal.

The sacred mountains are within reach. You can always see them.

The waters are still.
The moon is full.
The sky is clear.

Earth, water, air. Fire in your heart.

Put up your antenna,
and listen within.

My Body Says

My body says, Rest. My body says, Sleep. My body says, More sleep, please, more rest. My body says, Relax. My body says, Earth — more earth, please, more ground to lie on more trees to lean against more flowers to smell and grass to roll around in and more blackberries to pick.

My body says, Gently, slowly. Notice me. Feel me. Remember me.

My body says, Vacation. My body says, Hawaii. Sun, warmth, sand, ocean, swim, float, be. My body says, I’m tired. Take care of me, love me, let me rest and heal.

Who is speaking when my body is speaking? Where does that voice come from? I want to listen even if I don’t understand. I want to honor the needs of my body.

Supporting me is my body – and I want to support her too – she puts up with so much. The coffee I drink to keep going instead of taking a nap. The days I don’t go for a walk because I tell myself I don’t have time.

In the end, it’s all body – she’s what keeps me here. Maybe sometimes I resent her for that, keeping me here on earth instead of letting my soul float off to whatever star system it came from. I forget the beauty of my body, the beauty of this planet, this here and now. I take this time to remember.

What if I was innocent
And beautiful?

But you are!

And you are brave,
Braver than you can know
a wise woman has said.

It is a good road
to wander down . . . to meander.

You are stronger than you know.
You are the beautiful, innocent
child of light!

I am taking with me…I want to remember…

I am taking with me…WOW…
Calm-peace-Restorative
energy. Energy.
I never seem to have enough energy….
but I do.
Faith. Still shaky but more solid. Moments
where energy swept me.
moments where energy
renewed –
deep sadness –
lots of upliftment,
each of you –
I want to remember
to LISTEN & to ALLOW
Goddess and Goodness to work
through ME –
Remember to allow –
to step aside –
to laugh!

Marion Mae Moon Warfield

sepI am taking with me…

I am taking with me…
a new way into…
something within
that has wrapped
too tightly
around my being
for all the time
that I can remember.

A new way in, a small
break in the ice,
a way through,
not around…tempting as it may be…
these dark forces
that I have kept
pushing away.

But there is time
and new belief…
building…
for this new growth
I have been forging….

The way is softer than
what I have known,
a surrender
that I have misunderstood,
But I know this now–
that I will not be dimmed
by these heavier things,
but brought to life.

My understanding grows
from two dimensions
to a space for more….
a strong current of life
force to be set free…
a deeper, more steady
relationship to healing
and to listening.
To myself.

I am taking with me…

I am taking with me
bits and pieces- feelings shared through words expressed
so easily- effortlessly – from the heart
the feeling of coming together
the feeling of come-union
the experience of people, together,
making the choice for change
really choosing to honor and to embrace
to wear and so share something which seems to be
outside
so many of our daily experiences –
something outside
business as usual
and for all of these choices
each one of you made, again and again
to muster the courage to dare
to be brave
i am grateful
because it makes everything else so much easier
and serves
as an eloquent, gentle, yet palpable  reminder
that we do have a choice and that we can make it!

For our final writing, we collectively wrote a poem for each participant, everyone adding one line. Here is the one written for Sandra:

Send us their light
In the deepest quiet of night
And the blue and grey sky
What if I chose colors to please me?
I am happy
I am light and free
Whopee!!
Summer, winter, fall and spring
There is always another opening

Astro-Update & Events

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

OmBase‘s own in-house Astrologer, Emily Trinkaus with some exciting news & upcoming events from her August newsletter and website Portland Astrology:

Eclipse Season Grand Finale – This Wednesday

“it is our ignorance of the dark, which is the gateway between death and birth, that gives rise to our fears and contributes to our pain.”

Demetra George, Mysteries of the Dark Moon

Emily Trinkaus

Emily Trinkaus

We’re nearing the grand finale of this summer’s Eclipse Season — the Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius on August 5. A Lunar Eclipse is a super-potent Full Moon, featuring a rising tide of emotional energy, high pressure, and opportunities for revelation and breakthrough.

At the Lunar Eclipse — when the Earth’s shadow blocks out the light of the Moon — we are confronted with our fear of the dark. The Full Moon that typically lights up the night sky turns a bloody red and darkens, leaving us in the shadows. Even if the Eclipse isn’t visible where you live, the influence is still palpable.

Re-Writing the Wounds of the Spirit
a women’s astrology and Sacred Story workshop
with Emily & Dawn
SAT 8/15 10am-2pm

in Multnomah Village
Cost: $65

Spider Woman weaves a story . . .

Spider Woman weaves a story . . .

2009 features a rare conjunction of Chiron, Neptune and Jupiter, offering opportunities for healing wounds of the Spirit. These “Neptunian” wounds often take the form of addictions, victimization, illusions and fantasies – ways that we unconsciously remain stuck in our limited beliefs and perspectives.

In this workshop, we will use astrology to explore these wounded places from an archetypal perspective and within a larger framework of collective transformation. We’ll also look at where this “Super Conjunction” is happening in your personal birth chart, identifying which areas of your life are calling for healing and growth.

We will use Sacred Story work – a technique involving guided visualization and writing to recreate our lives – to rewrite these old stories of our wounded self and to call in a more liberating story of our inner power and connection with Spirit.

All women are welcome; no previous writing or astrology experience needed.

Contact Emily for more info or to register: etrinkaus@gmail.com, 503-288-7097

Women’s Writing & Astrology Retreat
Archetypes of Feminine Power:
Reclaiming the Dark
with Emily & Dawn
10/16-18, 2009

at Silver Falls

Silver Falls

Silver Falls

In the magical forest of Silver Falls, we meet at the Dark of the Moon – traditionally a time for healing, renewal and regeneration.

Looking at the Moon in our individual birth charts, we’ll explore how feminine archetypes appear and operate in our own lives, and identify the “shadow” aspects of our own expression of the feminine. We’ll use Sacred Story work – a technique using guided visualization and writing to recreate our lives – to reclaim our power from these denied and unconscious parts of ourselves.

We’ll also examine the significance of the Dark Goddess in the context of collective transformation. Approaching the end-date of the 26,000-year Mayan Calendar, we are all now in a “Dark Moon” phase – a time for releasing and transforming structures, systems and ways of being that no longer serve us. In this time of ever-quickening growth and change, how do our individual stories intersect with the unfolding collective drama?

All women are welcome – no previous astrology or writing experience is needed.

Todd is becoming more passionate about Yin yoga and its incredible benefits, so he’s excited to share another yin yoga series with you this month. And to make this series more enticing for you, I enclose a photo of Todd at the beach in Hawaii that was taken a few years back.

The yin approach utilizes long, supported postures that you simply relax into… when the muscles are relaxed, then the myofascial tissue surrounding them can begin to stretch and also strengthen.

The postures are designed to help you move each joint in its full range of motion through its natural range… this is done through gentle but persistent compression of the joints as one hangs out in, and melts into a stretch, so most of the practice is on the floor, and most of it is passive.

Cost: Sliding scale $8-$18.

Deborah Orandon, MS, NCC, LMT

Join with others in a safe, welcoming environment to take a free-form movement journey all your own.

Please join us for this evening of inner-discovery, self-expression and creativity through the joy of dance – no experience necessary!

Since this gathering does not include physical contact with others during the dance, the evening starts with brief boundary setting so that we can all stay focused and open to our inner impulses. And then we’re off!

The journey begins with a short guided movement meditation for presence & grounding—and here is where the verbal input ends. Continuous waves of a wide variety of music will usher your body, mind & spirit from the Om Base studio to anywhere your inner-eye will take you.

Taking these solo journeys with others doing the same provides the intention, energy & richness that only a group dance can bring. Attention to boundaries ensures that each of our dances can be an uninterrupted and deeply personal journey.

We end with a closing circle, where speaking is optional.

Lead by Deborah Orandon, MS, NCC, LMT. Deborah is the owner of Self Awareness Counseling in Portland, Oregon and the creator of Inner-Awareness Movement (I-AM) Technique.  She has a formal education in counseling, massage and movement and brings diverse life experiences to her work.  Her formal education as well as some of the life experiences that led her to this varied background are discussed on her web page.

Our drumming circle is going strong!
Join Mike for a fabulous time!
Bring a drum or favorite instrument or pick one up at the circle.

Drumming can heal the spirit, body, mind, heart and the earth. Together we create “in the moment” connectedness through open spirit and oneness. Wonderful things can occur, elation, release, relief, joy, tears, laughing, giggling, smiling, bonding, heart opening, and sharing.

In addition, drum circles are just plain fun and exhilarating!

Absolutely no drumming or music experience is required – just an open mind and open spirit. Everyone has a heart that beats within them and from this mother rhythm you will be amazed at what we can create together.

If you own a drum or other instrument please bring it, however, there will be a limited number of drums for those that don’t have one. Any and all percussion instruments are welcome, e.g. wood blocks, bells, tambourines, shakers, flutes, whistles, etc.

We encourage you to bring your friends or invite friends who you think may be interested in attending this community drum circle – the more the merrier! We also encourage dancing!!! If you want to come and simply dance or just listen to the rhythms please come as well.

News from OmBase – January 28th Edition

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

OmBase Studio

We have so many exciting events happening at Om Base in February!

New Class! Kundalini Yoga

Alana Weintraub Please welcome Alana Weintraub, who will be teaching a Kundalini Yoga class on Fridays, 9:30-11 am, starting Jan 30.

Alana began practicing yoga fifteen years ago as a young teenager, and during college, heard the spiritual call to become a yoga teacher while attending her first of five Kundalini Yoga retreats.  She received Kundalini Yoga teaching certification at the Omega Institute in upstate NY, furthered her teacher training by studying Radiant Child Yoga with Shakta Kaur, and has been teaching to adults and children in Portland since 2006.  In addition to sharing her passion for yoga, she is currently training to be a Waldorf Teacher.

Kundalini yoga classes are a unique and dynamic blend of postures, pranayam (breathwork), mantra, music and meditation, which allow you to deeply experience relaxation, self-healing and elevation.  Stimulating all of your body’s physical and energetic systems, Kundalini yoga revitalizes, de-stresses, and heightens your creative potential. Mixed levels.

Alana will also be teaching our kids and teens yoga classes & workshops, coming up in March….Let us know if you are interested in that!

Yin is in!  …..  3 week series with Todd

Yin Yoga is a term coined by Sarah Powers and popularized most notably by Paul Grilley. Basically, it is an approach to using yoga to counter some of what the Taoist believe tends to happen with many of us as we age, namely that from the waist down we tend to get tighter and tighter, and from the waist up we tend to grow weaker…

The yin approach utilizes long, supported, postures, that you simply relax into… when the muscles are relaxed, then the myofascial tissue surrounding them can begin to stretch and also strengthen. The postures are designed to help you move each joint in its full range of motion through its natural range… this is done through gentle but persistent compression of the joints as one hangs out in, and melts into a stretch, so most of the practice is on the floor, and most of it is passive.

Yin Yoga is ideal as a complementary practice for students that practice a more ‘yang’ style yoga, as well as for athletes that don’t stretch as much as they would like to. It’s beneficial for those people that think yoga isn’t for them as they are “too tight”, or inflexible. Also, for those that have chronic back pain, and other aches and pains.

I found that this practice yields surprising results if it is practiced more frequently, but regularly…so this yin series will be offered periodically, between immersion offerings, three days a week, for an hour each session“.  ~ Todd

Community Acupuncture….after yoga

Joseph GoldfedderJoseph Goldfedder will be giving a short intro about acupuncture after Todd’s yoga class on Sun Feb 22. After that he will be offering acupuncture as you lie on your yoga mat.

Community Acupuncture’s goal is to make acupuncture more affordable and accessible by offering it in a communal setting for a sliding scale ranging $15- 35 a treatment. The idea to combine Yoga and Acupuncture together is to enhance the effects of  both practices.  By integrating the mind and body we enable our bodies a greater healing potential.  Acupuncture assists us by in tapping into our energy reserves, increase our energy flow as well as promoting sense of well being.  Our bodies do the rest.

Joseph Goldfedder, L.Ac., completed his Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in New Mexico in 2006.  He initially moved to Portland to co-found Brooklyn Community Acupuncture. In his practice he believes in the integration of art and medicine, creativity and spirit.

SAT December 20
7-9:30 pm

Cost: $10-$20 suggested offering

15Out of the darkness comes the light, out of the stillness, the dance…

For many world cultures, the Solstice is the true new year as the ritual marker to truly let go, honor and bring closure to the past year and ignite our deepest visions and intentions for the coming year as the light emerges.

As our own part of nature, our bodies are intimately connected with the solar rhythm, so an embodied ritual offers us a powerful opportunity to align and be in harmony with the greater flow. While the outer world moves in a holiday flurry, this dance ritual allows you to dive into the deeper rhythm of inner renewal, of finding lightness in your own experience.

No previous dance experience is necessary, just a willingness to allow yourself to be moved by the music.

We will begin with silent meditation, and from the stillness let the dance emerge. We will then come back to stillness and reconnect with a collective candle-lighting ceremony to welcome back the light.

Hosted by Jay Fields and Felix Roth. Please let us know if you’d like to come! We want to make sure there’s space for everyone…..

Yin Yoga & Sound Healing/Jay, Tom & Jen
SUN December 28
4-6:30 pm

Cost: $25 pre-registration/payment, $30 at the door.

Jay FieldsAn evening of total relaxation and healing resonance… Tom and Jen will bring their orchestra of healing chimes, singing bowls, and didgeridoos and play while we ease into an hour and a half of Yin Yoga followed by an hour-long sound healing in savasana.

You are invited to relax and to let the vibrations of the sound waves ease into your body and find their own way to the spots that need it the most.

Yin yoga is a totally restorative form of yoga in which you stay in supported seated or supine poses for a few minutes at a time while all of your body-mind’s holding patterns melt away. It’s perfect for people who are new to yoga and the perfect balance for yang-centered practices.

From Jay: Among the many amazing pieces of feedback I received from participants after last week’s sound healing:

I’ve been having chronic back pain for a few months–having the time to be with my body in a healing way for a few hours was the best thing that I have done for my body in a long time. My back feels great!

My spirit just started soaring in the middle of the sound healing–and it is still soaring!
